Ingredients

  • Zucchini - 2 medium-sized
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
  • Honey - 1 tbsp
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp, for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Wash the zucchini and slice them into 1 cm thick rounds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, chili flakes, black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
  4. Add the zucchini slices to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated zucchini slices directly on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they have nice grill marks and are tender.
  6. Remove the zucchini from the grill and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
