Ingredients

  • Hoisin sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon (for dipping sauce)
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon (for dipping sauce)
  • Water - 1 tablespoon (for dipping sauce)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili paste, ground black pepper, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
  2. Add the Halal sausages to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Place the marinated sausages on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are fully cooked and have a nice char.
  5. While the sausages are grilling, prepare the dipping sauce by mixing lemon juice, honey, and water in a small bowl.
  6. Once the sausages are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Slice the sausages and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve with the dipping sauce on the side.
