  • Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Lime - 1, juiced

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Cut the pineapple into thick slices, about 2 cm each.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice to create the marinade.
  4. Place the pineapple slices in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the pineapple from the marinade and reserve the marinade for basting.
  6. Place the marinated pineapple slices on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade, until grill marks appear and the pineapple is caramelized.
  7. Once done, remove from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
