Ingredients

  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium
  • Yellow bell pepper - 1 medium
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Honey - 15 ml
  • Rice vinegar - 15 ml
  • Ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Chili flakes - 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Wash and deseed the bell peppers, then cut them into thick strips.
  3. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, rice vinegar, ground black pepper, and chili flakes (if using). Mix well to create the marinade.
  4. Add the bell pepper strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Thread the marinated bell pepper strips onto skewers, if desired, for easier grilling.
  6. Grill the peppers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are tender and have nice char marks.
  7. Remove from the grill and let them sit for a minute before serving.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve warm.
