Ingredients
- Mutton chops - 400 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Hoisin sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, chili flakes, black pepper, honey, sesame oil, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
- Add the mutton chops to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for better flavor.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the mutton chops from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off.
- Grill the mutton chops for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness, with nice grill marks.
- Once cooked, remove the chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
