- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for grilling
- Chopped cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15-20 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped lemongrass, minced garlic, soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated, and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly brush it with vegetable oil.
- Thread the marinated tofu onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes first).
