Ingredients
- Lamb shoulder - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Shaoxing rice wine - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Red bell pepper - 1, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
- Zucchini - 1 small, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)
Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, Shaoxing rice wine, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, sesame oil, and chopped green onion to create the marinade.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for better flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb, red bell pepper, and zucchini onto the skewers, alternating between the lamb and vegetables.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
