Ingredients

  • Lamb chops - 4 pieces (about 300g)
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Shaoxing wine - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - ½ teaspoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, chili flakes, honey, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the lamb chops to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the lamb chops from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Discard the marinade.
  5. Place the lamb chops on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached.
  6. Once cooked, remove the lamb chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander before serving.
