Ingredients

  • Chicken wings - 500 grams
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Hoisin sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken wings from the marinade and shake off excess marinade. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the wings on the grill and cook for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 75°C).
  6. Once cooked, remove the wings from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
