- Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
- Water - 75 ml
- Red bean paste - 50 grams
- Chopped walnuts - 20 grams
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Coconut milk - 100 ml
- Sesame seeds - 10 grams
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and water to form a smooth dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until it becomes elastic.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Flatten each piece into a small disc and place 1 tablespoon of red bean paste and a few chopped walnuts in the center.
- Carefully fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, rolling it into a ball shape. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Gently drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- While the dumplings are cooking, prepare the syrup by combining coconut milk and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Once the dumplings are cooked, remove them from the water and serve them warm in bowls, drizzled with the coconut syrup and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
