Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 200 g
- Bell pepper (sliced) - 1 medium (about 150 g)
- Carrot (julienned) - 1 medium (about 100 g)
- Broccoli florets - 100 g
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Ginger (minced) - 1 tsp
- Gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tbsp
- Sesame oil - 1 tbsp
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp
- Cornstarch - 1 tbsp
- Green onions (sliced) - 2 for garnish
- Sesame seeds - 1 tsp for garnish
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the crispy tofu to the pan and add gluten-free soy sauce. Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
