Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 g
  • Bell pepper (sliced) - 1 medium (about 150 g)
  • Carrot (julienned) - 1 medium (about 100 g)
  • Broccoli florets - 100 g
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (minced) - 1 tsp
  • Gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tbsp
  • Sesame oil - 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil - 1 tbsp
  • Cornstarch - 1 tbsp
  • Green onions (sliced) - 2 for garnish
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tsp for garnish

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the crispy tofu to the pan and add gluten-free soy sauce. Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
