Ingredients
- Gluten-free bread - 4 slices
- Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 200 grams
- Garlic, minced - 1 clove
- Ginger, grated - 1 tsp
- Green onion, finely chopped - 2 tbsp
- Egg white - 1
- Cornstarch - 1 tbsp
- Sesame oil - 1 tsp
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tbsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Oil for frying - 500 ml
Steps
- In a food processor, combine the shrimp, garlic, ginger, green onion, egg white, cornstarch, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Blend until a smooth paste forms.
- Spread a generous amount of the shrimp mixture on each slice of gluten-free bread, covering the surface evenly.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once hot (around 180°C or 350°F), carefully place the shrimp-topped bread into the oil, shrimp side down.
- Fry the toast for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp is golden and crispy. Flip and fry the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp toast from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Cut each slice into quarters and serve hot.
