  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 30 grams
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Milk - 100 ml
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Butter - 30 grams, melted
  • Pineapple jam - 60 grams
  • Cornstarch - 15 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
  6. Flatten each ball slightly and place a spoonful of pineapple jam in the center, folding the dough over to seal it.
  7. Place the filled buns seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch, remaining sugar, and vanilla extract to create the topping, then spread it evenly over the buns.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
