Ingredients
- Gluten-free dumpling wrappers - 12 pieces
- Ground pork - 150 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Cabbage - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cooking oil - for frying
- Water - 100 ml (for steaming)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cabbage, carrot, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Take one gluten-free dumpling wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of cooking oil. Once hot, place the dumplings in the skillet, making sure they are not touching each other.
- Fry the dumplings for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Carefully add the water to the skillet, cover with a lid, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until the water has evaporated and the dumplings are cooked through.
- Remove the lid and let the dumplings cook for another minute to crisp up the bottoms. Serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice.
