Ingredients

  • Gluten-free dumpling wrappers - 12 pieces
  • Ground pork - 150 grams
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cabbage - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Carrot - 1 small, grated
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cooking oil - for frying
  • Water - 100 ml (for steaming)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cabbage, carrot, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Take one gluten-free dumpling wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of cooking oil. Once hot, place the dumplings in the skillet, making sure they are not touching each other.
  4. Fry the dumplings for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Carefully add the water to the skillet, cover with a lid, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until the water has evaporated and the dumplings are cooked through.
  5. Remove the lid and let the dumplings cook for another minute to crisp up the bottoms. Serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice.
