- Gluten-free all-purpose flour - 100g
- Butter - 50g, softened
- Powdered sugar - 30g
- Egg - 1 large
- Milk - 100ml
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free flour, softened butter, and powdered sugar until crumbly.
- Add the egg and mix until a dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface and cut into circles to fit your tart molds.
- Press the dough circles into the tart molds, making sure to cover the bottoms and sides.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vanilla extract, salt, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared tart shells, filling them about 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the custard is set and the tops are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
