Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Gluten-free soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Spring onion - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of gluten-free soy sauce. Set aside for 10 minutes to marinate.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced red and green bell peppers to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the oyster sauce, remaining gluten-free soy sauce, sesame oil, and water. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped spring onion before serving.
