Ingredients

  • Gluten-free all-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Warm water - 120 milliliters
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground pork - 100 grams
  • Shredded cabbage - 50 grams
  • Chopped green onions - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on a floured surface until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix the ground pork, shredded cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic until well combined.
  4. Divide the rested dough into 4 equal portions and flatten each into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Gather the edges of the dough and pinch them together to seal the baozi tightly.
  6. Prepare a steamer by lining it with parchment paper. Place the baozi in the steamer, leaving space between each one.
  7. Steam the baozi over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes until they are fluffy and cooked through. Serve warm.
