  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Clean the button mushrooms and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on their size.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and stir well to coat them in the garlic mixture.
  5. Cook the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and have released their moisture.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and black pepper, stirring to combine, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Drizzle the sesame oil over the mushrooms and mix well.
