Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 150 grams
  • Boiling water - 75 milliliters
  • Garlic chives - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Tofu - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and boiling water. Stir with a fork until a shaggy dough forms. Let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  2. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the finely chopped garlic chives, crumbled tofu, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined to form the filling.
  4. Roll out the rested dough into a long log and cut it into 12 equal pieces. Flatten each piece into a small circle (about 8 cm in diameter).
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dumpling in half and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  6. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the dumplings and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
  7. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and drain them. Serve hot with soy sauce or vinegar for dipping.
