Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach - 150 grams, washed and drained
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Add the sliced chicken breast to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper to create a sauce.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the sauce over the chicken and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and stir until the spinach wilts, which should take about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
