Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, sliced into thin strips
  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce (Kosher) - 3 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. While the chicken is marinating, prepare the broccoli by steaming it for about 5 minutes until tender but still crisp. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring quickly to prevent burning, and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, water, and sesame oil. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the steamed broccoli to the skillet and toss everything together to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
  7. Season with black pepper and additional salt if needed. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
