Ingredients

  • Lobster tails - 2 (approximately 300g total)
  • Unsalted butter - 60g
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped green onions - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Using kitchen scissors, cut the top of the lobster shells lengthwise to expose the meat. Remove any intestinal veins if present.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
  4. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute and remove from heat.
  5. Place the lobster tails on a baking tray, and generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the exposed meat.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.
  7. Remove the lobster from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
