Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Butter - 50 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and salt. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter. Sprinkle cornstarch over the chicken and mix well to thicken the sauce.
  5. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add chopped green onions just before serving.
  6. Serve hot over steamed rice or alongside stir-fried vegetables.
