Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
  • Bell peppers (red and green) - 1 medium each, sliced
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil, then add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, add the sesame oil, and toss everything together for another minute.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
