Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers - 12 pieces
  • Ground chicken or turkey - 100 grams
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Carrot - 1 small, grated
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey, green onion, grated carrot, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it over to create a triangle, and press the edges to seal. You can also fold the triangle into a boat shape by bringing the two outer corners together.
  4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the filled wontons in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  6. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
