- Almond flour - 100g
- Coconut flour - 30g
- Tapioca starch - 20g
- Baking powder - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Egg - 1 large
- Honey - 2 tbsp
- Coconut oil (for frying) - 500ml
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, tapioca starch, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and honey until well combined.
- Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 2-3 minutes until it is smooth and pliable.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a rope about 15 cm long.
- Twist each rope into a spiral shape and press the ends to seal.
- In a deep skillet or pot, heat the coconut oil over medium heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- Carefully place the twisted dough into the hot oil, frying in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
