  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 100 grams, julienned
  • Carrot - 50 grams, julienned
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, five spice powder, olive oil, and sesame oil. Add the tofu cubes and marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and sauté the marinated tofu for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown on all sides.
  4. While the tofu is cooking, prepare the salad by combining cucumber, red bell pepper, carrot, spring onions, and cilantro in a large bowl.
  5. Once the tofu is done, let it cool slightly before adding it to the salad mix.
  6. Drizzle lime juice over the salad, season with salt and pepper, and toss gently to combine.
  7. Serve immediately as a fresh, low-carb meal.
