Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 400 grams, diced

  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted

Steps

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes, then dice them into 2 cm cubes.
  2. In a pot of salted water, bring the diced potatoes to a boil and cook for about 10 minutes, or until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the boiled potatoes to the skillet and sprinkle the five-spice powder, salt, and black pepper over them. Stir gently to coat the potatoes evenly.
  5. Cook the potatoes for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden and crispy on the outside.
