Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 400 grams
  • Chinese five spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Butter lettuce leaves - 8 large
  • Sliced cucumber - 100 grams
  • Sliced radishes - 50 grams
  • Sriracha sauce - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, Chinese five spice powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal patties.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil if needed.
  4. Cook the chicken patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by rinsing the butter lettuce leaves and patting them dry.
  6. To assemble, place a chicken patty in the center of each lettuce leaf, top with sliced cucumber and radishes, and drizzle with Sriracha sauce to taste.
