- Ground chicken - 250 grams
- Five spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon

- Green onion, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons

- Black pepper - ¼ teaspoon
- Gluten-free burger buns - 2
- Butter or oil for cooking - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Cucumber, sliced - ½ cup
- Hoison sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds for garnish - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, five spice powder, garlic powder, grated ginger, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter or oil. Once hot, add the patties to the skillet.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown crust.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the gluten-free burger buns by toasting them lightly in a separate pan or in a toaster.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced cucumber, and a drizzle of hoisin sauce.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before closing the burger with the other half of the bun.
