- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- 1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- 2. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add it to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- 3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the red bell pepper, julienning the cucumber and carrot, and chopping the cilantro.
- 4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef strips and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
- 5. Remove the beef from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

- 7. Serve the salad immediately, garnishing with additional cilantro if desired.
