- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Five spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Onion - 1 small, sliced
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef, soy sauce, rice vinegar, five spice powder, garlic, and ginger. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, toss the bell pepper and onion with cornstarch until coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sesame oil and the bell pepper and onion mixture. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
