  • White fish fillets (like cod or tilapia) - 200 grams
  • Firm tofu - 150 grams
  • Vegetable broth - 500 ml
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Soy sauce (Halal) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • White pepper - to taste
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Start by cutting the white fish fillets into bite-sized pieces and the firm tofu into cubes.
  2. In a pot, heat the vegetable broth over medium heat and add minced ginger and garlic, allowing them to infuse for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the fish pieces to the pot and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to turn opaque.
  4. Gently add the tofu cubes to the pot and let them simmer with the fish for another 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper to taste.
  6. Add the chopped green onions and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and ladle the soup into bowls, garnishing with fresh cilantro before serving.
