Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 150 grams
  • Water - 75 ml
  • Chives - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Tofu - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water to form a dough. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth, then cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix the chopped chives, crumbled tofu, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to create the filling.
  3. After resting, divide the dough into small equal pieces (about 10-12). Roll each piece into a thin circle on a floured surface.
  4. Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  5. Bring a pot of water to a boil and place a steaming basket over it. Arrange the dumplings in the basket, ensuring they do not touch, and steam for about 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve the dumplings warm with extra soy sauce or vinegar for dipping.
