- Ground chicken - 200 grams
- Dumpling wrappers - 20 pieces
- Green onions - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce (halal) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Chicken broth - 750 milliliters
- Carrot - 1 small, diced
- Mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
- Spinach - 50 grams
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, half of the chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the filling.
- Take a dumpling wrapper and place a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold, and pleat the wrapper to seal. Repeat until all the filling is used.
- In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the diced carrots and sliced mushrooms, and simmer for about 5 minutes until tender.
- Carefully add the dumplings to the broth, reduce the heat to medium, and cook for 10-12 minutes until the dumplings float and are cooked through.
- Stir in the spinach and cook for an additional 2 minutes until wilted. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with the remaining green onions and fresh cilantro.
