Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 300 grams
  • Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Cut the fish fillets into thin strips, approximately 1 cm wide.
  3. In a bowl, combine sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, coconut aminos, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
  4. Add the fish strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  5. Preheat your dehydrator or oven to 60°C (140°F).
  6. Place the marinated fish strips on the dehydrator trays or a lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Dehydrate the fish strips for about 2 hours, or until they are fully dried and have a firm texture. If using an oven, keep the door slightly ajar to allow moisture to escape.
  8. Once dried, let the fish strips cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
