- Chicken thighs - 300 grams, boneless and skinless
- Doubanjiang (fermented broad bean paste) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
- Rice wine - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 inch, minced
- Scallions - 2, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bell pepper - 1, sliced
- Water - 100 milliliters
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the chicken thighs with doubanjiang, soy sauce, rice wine, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
- Add the sliced bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for another 3 minutes until slightly softened.
- Pour in the water and bring to a simmer. Cover the pan and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked through.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the dish and stir well. Garnish with chopped scallions before serving.
