Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted and crushed
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cumin seeds, ground coriander, chili powder, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
