- Firm tofu - 200 grams, diced
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Broccoli florets - 150 grams
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Snow peas - 100 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Press the diced tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture, then toss it with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced red bell pepper, broccoli florets, julienned carrot, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and pour in the gluten-free soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and heat through for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
