Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams, diced
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Broccoli florets - 150 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Snow peas - 100 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Press the diced tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture, then toss it with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the tofu and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the sliced red bell pepper, broccoli florets, julienned carrot, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and pour in the gluten-free soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and heat through for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
