  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Drain the tofu and wrap it in a clean kitchen towel. Place a heavy object on top to press out excess moisture for about 15 minutes.

  3. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove and set aside on paper towels.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and stir-fry until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour the soy sauce and sesame oil over the spinach, and toss to combine.
  8. Serve the crispy tofu over the sautéed spinach and enjoy!
