  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Vegetable oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes gently with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and fry for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, and half of the chopped green onions.
  6. Once the tofu is crispy, lower the heat and pour the soy sauce mixture over the tofu, stirring gently to coat.
  7. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  8. Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and the remaining green onions before serving.
