Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Broccoli florets - 200 grams
  • Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until they are vibrant green and slightly tender.
  6. Return the crispy tofu to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and water. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
