- Broccoli florets - 200 grams
- Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 100 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until they are vibrant green and slightly tender.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and water. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
