- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Broccoli florets - 150 grams
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu cubes to the pan in a single layer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until all sides are golden and crispy. Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the red bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
- Return the crispy tofu to the pan and drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle with chopped green onions and black sesame seeds before serving.
