  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Broccoli florets - 150 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the pan in a single layer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until all sides are golden and crispy. Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add the red bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
  7. Return the crispy tofu to the pan and drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle with chopped green onions and black sesame seeds before serving.
