  • Mixed salad greens - 100 grams
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Maple syrup - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu between two plates with a weight for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes and toss them in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, cucumber, carrot, red bell pepper, and green onions.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, maple syrup, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
  7. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  8. Add the crispy tofu on top of the salad and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
