Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Wonton wrappers - 10 pieces
  • Carrot, grated - 50 grams
  • Bell pepper, finely chopped - 50 grams
  • Green onion, chopped - 30 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess moisture, then crumble it into a bowl.
  3. Add grated carrot, chopped bell pepper, green onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, black pepper, and salt to the bowl with the crumbled tofu. Mix well until combined.
  4. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the tofu mixture in the center of each wrapper.
  5. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers with a little water, then fold them over to create a triangle or a pouch shape, sealing the edges tightly.
  6. Brush a baking sheet with olive oil and place the tofu puffs on the sheet. Lightly brush the tops with more olive oil to help them crisp up during baking.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
