  • Chickpea flour - 75 grams
  • Cornstarch - 25 grams
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Egg - 1 large, beaten
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crumbled tofu, grated carrot, grated zucchini, chopped green onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Add the chickpea flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and beaten egg to the bowl. Mix until everything is well combined and a sticky batter forms.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the batter into the hot oil, flattening them slightly to form fritters.
  5. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fritters from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
