- Chickpea flour - 75 grams
- Cornstarch - 25 grams
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Egg - 1 large, beaten
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the crumbled tofu, grated carrot, grated zucchini, chopped green onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Add the chickpea flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and beaten egg to the bowl. Mix until everything is well combined and a sticky batter forms.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the batter into the hot oil, flattening them slightly to form fritters.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fritters from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
