- Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil (for frying) - 500ml
- Lettuce leaves (for serving) - 4 leaves
- Sweet chili sauce (for dipping) - 50ml
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the prawns, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Take a spring roll wrapper and place 1-2 tablespoons of the prawn mixture near one edge. Fold the sides over the filling, then roll tightly to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Carefully add the prawn rolls in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Once cooked, remove the rolls and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve the crispy prawn rolls on a plate lined with lettuce leaves, accompanied by sweet chili sauce for dipping.
