Ingredients

  • Fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod) - 300 grams
  • Cornstarch - 50 grams
  • Rice flour - 30 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Vegetable oil - for brushing

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the fish fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix cornstarch and rice flour together. This will be used for coating the fish.
  4. Remove the fish from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Dredge each fillet in the cornstarch and rice flour mixture until well coated.
  5. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill the fish fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once cooked, remove from the grill and sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro before serving.
