  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 30 grams
  • Vegetable oil - for grilling

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.
