Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 300 grams
  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Coconut flour - 30 grams
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - for frying (about 100 ml)

Steps

  1. Cut the white fish fillets into sticks, roughly 1.5 cm wide.
  2. In a bowl, mix the almond flour, coconut flour, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until fully combined.
  4. Heat the coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Dip each fish stick into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated fish sticks in the pan, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  7. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Transfer the cooked fish sticks to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  9. Serve immediately with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
